[Photo taken 14 March 2001] I'll probably return to Virginia's caverns someday, but that could be years from now -- I don't live within a few hours' drive anymore. The Grand Caverns' room "Alexandra's Ballroom," where the cave's owners had moonshine parties during prohibition, is especially beautiful. It was called a ballroom because of the chandelier-like formation hanging from the center of the room's ceiling. If you live near Virginia, go take a look! Or perhaps you can find another photo gallery that includes it.
