Yellowstone National Park
[Photo taken 16 June 2003] The following day, I wanted to leave the hotel as early as possible. I suspected wildlife was more active early in the morning, before tourists crowded the park with their cars and camera tripods. It was mid-June, and the sky was becoming light around 5 a.m. So I awoke at 4 a.m., checked out of the hotel shortly after 5 a.m., and saw this bison near the hotel at 5:29 a.m.
