Yellowstone National Park
[Photo taken 16 June 2003] Beryl Springs. The water of geysers and springs at Yellowstone contain sulfur, and are famous for smelling like boiled or rotting eggs. I'd already heard about it and was expecting the smell. Actually, even at a very active site like Beryl Springs, the smell wasn't strong. I liked it a little -- part of the Yellowstone experience. Later that morning, at crowded tourist sites, young boys up to men in their 40's made many remarks about the bad smell.
